Progress Report
January – December 2012
We are pleased to present Plano’s 2012 Economic Development Progress Report. It provides information on 24 companies representing 2.1 million square feet and an estimated 4,283 jobs. Featured in this report are seven exciting projects that added $122 million of improvements to the tax base. Denbury Resources, Ericsson, MedAssets, Tyler Technologies and Winzer Corporation were also named as finalists in the Dallas Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Deals of 2012.
Plano continues to be one of the best places in the U.S. to relocate or expand your business. It provides a talented workforce, a competitive business climate, world-class business parks and superior accessibility. Plano is only a 30-minute drive to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of only seven airports worldwide with 200 nonstop destinations. Our central time zone and location also provide quick access to both U.S. coasts and across the globe.
