Coworking giant WeWork is bringing more than 53,000 square feet of flexible office space to Plano.
The real estate firm announced Wednesday that it signed a new lease for two floors at Legacy Town Center, which will be WeWork’s third location in Plano and 11th in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The new space will accommodate more than 900 desks and will open early 2020.
"We are thrilled to announce WeWork Legacy Town Center as our third Plano location,” said Nathan Lenahan, Texas general manager at WeWork, in a prepared statement. “As Plano makes its mark as a hub for corporate and regional headquarters of Fortune 500 and 1000 companies, WeWork will continue to support the area’s growing business ecosystem with the flexibility and resources needed to grow their businesses.”
Representatives for the company declined to provide any further comment on the new lease, but a release from the firm said the office will offer “innovative workplace solutions for any type of member organization, regardless of company size, maturity, or space needs.”
The building, located at 6900 Dallas Parkway, is owned by real estate private equity firm KBS.
New York-based WeWork now has more than 485 coworking locations in 105 cities spread throughout 28 different countries, according to the company.
The company's other two Plano offices are located at Legacy West and Legacy North.
