A tech firm that supplies materials to Toyota North America has completed its move from the West Coast to Plano, which puts it in close proximity to the Japanese automaker's new corporate home.
SOLiD Inc. ( KOSDAQ: A050890), a Korean-based wireless equipment provider, has moved into its new Americas corporate headquarters at 800 Klein Road in Plano. In all, the firm is leasing 48,526 square feet of office space at the new location.
SOLiD Americas President Ken Sandfeld said the relocation to Plano went smooth and he looks forward to building the company's brand in North Texas.
The tech company has a portfolio of radio frequency amplifiers, radio frequency radios and transport radios ranging from indoor to outdoor equipment. SOLiD helps transportation companies better communicate with their drivers, among many other uses.
The city of Plano is in the midst of working through an economic incentive agreement with the company. The details of that agreement were not immediately available.
Misti Miggs and Tim Sullivan of Dallas-based Mohr Partners Inc. represented SOLiD in its real estate search and its later relocation.
SOLiD made its move to Plano during the second quarter of the year. The company plans to host a grand opening of the facility next week.
